Bronze Eyed One

Bronze eyed one, forked tongued one
venom tooth, in the soil
Build your nest in the straw
bound by fate to the world

Serpent coils dived in mud,
mingled with my own blood
Build a nest on their bones
as the wind quietly moans

If I dance as foreseen
will you laugh at my sins?
If I sing as foretold
Will you spit out my heart?

I will follow your tune
through the sand of the dunes
From the dust you will rise
Untouched by fire and ice.

If I indeed let you in
will you fill my whole being?
If I breathe by your rhythm
Will you dance through my dreams?

Close to you I will fall
With my newfound cold blood
Let me sleepy by your soul
I am weary and old.
I am tired and alone.
